We recognize the importance of gentle care, by taking into consideration your rug's origin, period of craftsmanship, fiber, content and dyes.
We take great pleasure caring for fine rugs and we fully appreciate their value and uniqueness.
Not all oriental rugs can be cleaned to the same extent, but since fiber safety is our main objective, we will go out of our way to preserve it to its original condition.
At SUNFLOWER CARPET we know how our process assures total cleanliness safety to the texture, whether we clean them by hand or machine.
During the consultation our technicians will inspect the fiber content and condition of your rugs, to determine the right method of cleaning. Some area rugs can be cleaned right at your home using our state of the art equipment.
First the rugs are pre-vacuumed and preconditioned to loosen any dirt that is deeply embedded in the fibers. Spots, stains and dirt from heavy foot traffic will be treated by hand with a spotting agent. Next a special solution is sprayed directly to the carpet pile and we finally extract all water and soap residue from the rug to make it look fresh and smell great.
Other rugs will be picked up and sent to our facility for a special process. Our crew will first test the rugs for color fastness, and if color bleeds, dry cleaning will be required. Rugs will then be inspected for condition, wear discoloration, color fading and odors.
Cleaning process:
- The area rug cleaning process starts with the removal of all dust particles that lie deep in the fibers, using high powered compressed air
- Next we will submerge each rug in a gentle pH balanced solution bath. All stains are treated by hand from top to bottom. Then we will apply a sanitizing solution to eliminate and contaminate all odor sources
- The next step is to rinse the rug to remove all remaining detergents and to extract all water residues
- A neutralizer is finally applied to restore the original pH of your rugs
- After drying the rug in a climate controlled room, we will groom and lightly deodorize it
- In order to make sure the outcome is faultless, we will inspect the outcome to make sure it matches our high standards, because if it doesn't match ours it surely won't match yours
We recommend an application of fabric protector to preserve the condition for a long time.
